The Luther Trail

ROUTE DESCRIPTION

The Luther Trail in Saxony-Anhalt has a total length of 530 kilometres. In addition to tourist attractions, it features numerous authentic sites of the Reformation and the life story of Martin Luther. In the towns and villages along the way, with their churches and stamp sites, a wide range of spiritual and cultural activities can be enjoyed.

The route of the Luther Trail connects the Luther towns of Wittenberg and Eisleben. A northern route leads via Dessau and Köthen, a southern route via the Dübener Heide region and the city of Halle/Saale.

The state capital Magdeburg is connected to this route in the north, to the west there is a link to the neighbouring state of Thuringia via Stolberg and to the south the Luther Trail extends as far as Naumburg/Saale.
