German Luther Trail Society
The Saxony-Anhalt Luther Trail was the first Luther Trail to be initiated in Germany and is now one of seven Luther Trails in Germany to belong to the German Luther Trail Association (DLWG).
Founded in 2008, the German Luther Trail Society brings together representatives from Protestant regional churches, politics, tourism and hiking associations, business and education as well as individuals with the aim of networking activities and stations along the Luther Trail. The German Luther Trail Society is responsible for quality assurance with regard to uniform standards and thematic profiling of the stations, coordinates education in the context of the Luther Trail and makes spiritual offers for pilgrims and hikers on the trail. Other tasks of the German Luther Trail Association include organising the annual Luther Trail Day for stakeholders along the Luther Trail and supporting digital formats. The society publicises the Luther Trail, coordinates the creation and publication of information material and supports stations in the logistical and content-related development of their offers.
